Project Overview

Music Genre Prediction

January 2020 - May 2020 || Project Member ||

This project features a development of an android application which predicts the genre of music played by the user. Additionally, it explores distinct use of Machine Learning technology for the identification of various genre of the music based on the generated frequency spectrum graph.


What I did,

  • Utilize a Machine Learning (Neural Network) technology to predict the genre of the song
  • Research and implemented concepts related to Machine Learning: algorithms, loss functions, and optimization techniques
  • Develop an application with UI to control the functions of the system
  • Interfaced Google Firebase database for data clustering and displaying necessary data to the UI
  • Developed and implemented fully working android application for the system using Dart language

Maximum Power Point Tracker

August 2019 - December 2019 || Project Member ||

This system tracks the mechanical sun to produce maximum power from the solar panel. The MPPT charges the battery and an inverter is connected with battery to convert DC to AC for the load attached with it. Furthermore, battery charging is monitored via LabVIEW and online website is created for monitoring of battery state of charge, sun’s position (angle), and power generated from the solar panel.


What I did,

  • Coded microcontroller to sample and calculate the battery Charge Percentage, Power, and angle of solar panel
  • Designed and integrated LabVIEW system with msp430f5529 microcontroller for monitoring electrical signals
  • Created a Website using PHP and HTML and integrated with MySQL database
  • Interfaced LabVIEW system, database, and website for providing information about sampled data

Autonomous Mail Delivery System

January 2019 - May 2019 || Project Member ||

The Project “Hoolaki” can also be called “The Automatic Mail Delivery System” which is built using a rover tank body and Basys 3 board. The system (Robot) will follow a metallic path with different angle turns and determines the required frequency of infrared light to drop the mail. The motors of the Rover are controlled using L298 Dual H-bridge.


What I did,

  • Built an “Autonomous Mail Delivery System” using BASYS 3 board and H-bridge circuit
  • Designed and simulated amplifier circuit for IR Sensor using LM324 in LTSpice
  • Designed and tested a printed circuit board (PCB) using Eagle Cad
  • Interfaced all the hardware and software

Experiences

Feed Forward Network and Back Propagation

  • Implemented logistic regression algorithm for training model
  • Generated neural network from scratch using feed-forward network and backpropagation

Weather Report App in Dart

  • Develop a cross platform app to provide the location specific live weather condition
  • Networked in flutter app with the HTTP package to fetch the data

Classic Game Development in Java

  • Developed snake game applying multithread to reduce the latency
